Caminar Integration

Page history last edited by John Flynn 13 years, 2 months ago

Some contract providers were using a piece of third-party software called Caminar (instead of OMA) to collect Outcomes data.  The purpose of this integration is to meet the State mandate to report outcomes for all FSP.  Since the data from Caminar is now integrated in OMA, contract providers have the ability to view as well as enter and edit data in OMA.  Contract Providers also have the ability to add new assessments based on the existing data so long as they are associated to client.  Contract providers stopped using Caminar as of 1/3/11 and started using OMA today, 2/2/11.

SPECIAL NOTE for Caminar Users:

In converting your data to the OMA, there are three minor issues we want to bring to your attention:

à “My Baselines,” “My Key Event Changes” and “My Three Months” are empty – where are my clients?

Caminar did not track your User information the way that OMA does, so until you start entering data into OMA your lists (“My Baselines” etc.) will be empty. You can find those clients under “My Team Baselines,” “My Team Key Event Changes” and “My Team Three Months.” You will also notice that the “User Created” column on these lists will have your reporting unit, not your OMA login ID.

à I have an open FSP program, but OMA won’t let me do an assessment (KEC or 3M) because it says the client has an open FCCS Baseline.

A small number of Caminar clients were brought in to the system with TWO open programs. Take a look at the Programs tab for this client: are there two programs there? Do they BOTH have empty spaces in the “Inactive Date” column? That means both are still active.

If you have two open programs, please call the DMH Help Desk and ask them to start a ticket so we can clean up that extra program for you. HELP DESK: 213-351-1335

à Some of my clients aren’t showing up in the Three Month Tickler

This seems to be another side effect of the “two open programs” problem. Check the Programs tab, and call Help Desk to start a ticket so we can fix it for you.

Thanks so much for your patience and hard work during this integration: please let us know if you encounter any other issues!
