Crisis Residential Program: Any residential treatment program whose primary goal is to stabilize consumers at imminent risk of decompensation and thereby avoid hospitalization (e.g., Excelsior House). These programs are certified by the State Department of Mental Health through Community Care Licensing. These programs have an upward limit of 3 months but generally attempt to average stays of no more than 30 days and must have at least 2 treatment staff on site 24 hours a day.
For Adults the following residential placemnents may be coded as Crisis Residential:
a. Excelsior House
b. Jump Street
c. Compass House
