Based on the Mini Mental Status Examination (MMSE), client presented with symptoms of cognitive impairment. If yes, what level: Mild, Moderate, Severe? The Mini Mental Status Examination (MMSE is a 30 item validated widely used screening tool of cognitive function. It takes approx 10 minutes to administer and some training is desireable. Based on the Confusion Assessment Method (CAM), client presented with symptoms of delirium. If yes, identify the most appropriate: Acute Change, Altered Level of Consciousness, Disorganized Thinking, Inattention. The Confusion Assessment Method (CAM is a validated screening to evaluate for delirium including four cardinal features. It takes approximately 5 minutes and some training is required.
